Race Street Complete Street

City of Port Angeles
Port Angeles, Washington

Exeltech was retained by the City of Port Angeles to develop 60% to 100% design and estimates for a new shared use path, roadway improvements, landscape design, paving improvements, sidewalks, illumination, stormwater, and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E). This project will improve Race Street from SR 101 to Olympic National Park. The design of this multi-modal corridor implemented Complete Street principles through landscape design by articulating pedestrian and bike circulation and creating user-friendly site amenities, including two bus stops along Race Street. Exeltech also developed design concept renderings to support the City’s public engagement process. This project is funded by a federal Surface Transportation Improvement Program grant and the Washington Recreation & Conservation Office.
