Lillian and James Walker Park LID Demonstration Site

City of Bremerton
Bremerton, Washington

Exeltech evaluated stormwater infiltration and water quality treatment options for redevelopment of this 0.74-acre site into a useable community park. The site is the low point of a 160-acre basin and runoff sheet flowed into Anderson Cove untreated. This project enhanced the existing water quality through infiltration on the site.

Exeltech developed design of the site grading, new sidewalk with curb and gutter, and storm drainage, implementing Low Impact Development (LID) techniques. The design includes pervious concrete sidewalks, Filterra stormwater treatment units, a sand filter, pervious pavers, and a bio-retention swale. Exeltech also provided construction management services.
